M.G.R.A. History and Information
The Missouri Gay Rodeo Association (M.G.R.A.) Show-Me State Rodeo has a long and successful history. It began in 1986 as part of the International Gay Rodeo Association (I.G.R.A.) whose goal was preserving the country & western lifestyle, raising money to produce a rodeo and give back to charities like The Trevor Project, Southwest Boulevard Health Clinic, Passages Youth Center, Kansas City Free Health Clinic.
As a Not-For-Profit Organization that has been around for over 36 years, we have been able to produce over 25 rodeos. We do this by being 1 of 15 member associations sanctioned by the I.G.R.A. which covers 20 states across the country, two of which have multiple chapters in their state as well as an association in Canada.
We do all this by supporting and being a part of other organizations in our community as well as participating in different activities throughout Missouri & Kansas like having a float in the Kansas City St. Paddy’s Day Parade, participating in Aids Walk, Kansas City Pride Alliance, St Joe Pride and Springfield Pride.
By partnering with us you and your business will be recognized as a contributor to our rodeo and be promoted throughout the year as supporting your local community. After the rodeo has ended, the community will remember your participation and show their appreciation and patronage.
All advertisers will need to provide a business card or artwork with logo/information within one week of purchase.
